College launches new Office of Experiential Learning

The College of Education is pleased to announce its new Office of Experiential Learning, created to better serve the evolving experiential learning initiatives of the University of Georgia.

This office is responsible for:

  • Providing general support for developing courses that satisfy the UGA experiential learning requirement
  • Establishing and maintaining school and community partnerships
  • Offering international student teaching opportunities through the COST program
  • Supporting other College international experiential learning opportunities
  • Arranging field placements for students both in the College of Education and in other UGA partner teacher preparation programs

The Office of Experiential Learning will be under the direct supervision of the associate dean for academic programs, which will promote greater collaboration with the educator preparation team in making field placements and providing experiential learning services to our allied health professional programs.

Anna Hiers will serve as the director of the College’s Office of Experiential Learning.
