UGA Elements is a university-wide professional activities profile system that allows the university to showcase outputs of research, teaching, and public service/outreach efforts. In parallel, each user can use his/her Elements data to create their own profile (e.g., exported to a website), as well as other useful outputs like biosketches, CVs, etc.
Having a single source for normalized activity information allows aggregate reporting and analytics to gauge the strength of UGA in any specific area/discipline. It can also provide data in support of key performance indicators to measure progress toward strategic directions. At the same time, UGA Elements also acts as an expertise repository that gives users the ability to find partners for collaborative projects, while also giving external stakeholders (e.g., legislative staff, corporate partners) the ability to identify UGA people for engagement.
