New grant opportunity helps foster community-focused learning
College of Education faculty can now apply for a new grant that seeks to fund active-learning projects in schools. The Carl and Sara Glickman Family Foundation Challenge Grants for Project-Based Learning is a recently launched endowment that funds an annual award of up to $14,000, renewable up to three years.
This award is open to College of Education faculty members who are collaborating with a public school or a school where a majority of students are in poverty. This collaboration should feature project-based learning methods that apply academic learning to a community setting.
