Program pays for additional PhD researchers

The Research (Tuition) Incentive Assistantship is designed to support new PhD graduate assistantships by returning revenue to research grant-funded investigators and their departments.

The department of a principal investigator who is awarded a research grant that pays the cost of full-time in-state tuition for graduate research assistant(s) will receive a return of 1.5 times the university’s base tuition rate from the university, which will be used to cover the cost of an assistantship for additional PhD student(s).
