Charles Hillman presents lecture on childhood health and fitness today

Dr. Charles Hillman, a kinesiology professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will present a lecture from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 26, at the College of Education Research Colloquium titled “The Relation of Childhood Fitness to Cognition and Academic Achievement.” This talk will take place in Aderhold Hall Room G5.

Hillman will speak on his work investigating the influence of physical activity, fitness, weight status/adiposity, and dietary intake on brain health and cognitive performance in children. He directs the Neurocognitive Kinesiology Laboratory, which focuses on studying the relationship between physical activity and cognitive health across the lifespan.
