RSVP to learn more about the UGA Peace Corps Prep certificate program

Peace Corps director Carrie Hessler-Radelet will speak at a launch event for the UGA Peace Corps Prep certificate program 4-5:30 p.m. on March 21, in the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries.

This event will allow students, faculty, staff, and community members to hear from a panel of Peace Corps alumni about their experiences in the field and how those experiences have translated to their careers. The event is free and open to the public, but online registration is required by Monday, March 14.

Hessler-Radelet was appointed director in 2014 after serving for four years as the agency’s acting director and deputy director. A fourth-generation Peace Corps volunteer, Hessler-Radelet began her career in international development as a Peace Corps worker in Western Samoa. She has been instrumental in forging innovative strategic partnerships and has led initiatives to improve Peace Corps volunteer support and risk reduction.
