... Also, volunteer with Experience UGA

The following field trips to the UGA campus are in need of volunteers. Visit Experience UGA’s website for more information about the overall program.

Ninth-grade trip:
Share your passion for UGA with visiting ninth-graders from Cedar Shoals and Clarke Central High Schools! Volunteer to be a co-host for a group of ninth graders visiting UGA for the Experience UGA biology program on April 8 and April 15. Although more than 200 ninth-graders will visit on each day, you will only co-host with two to three other UGA students for a group of 20 ninth-graders. Co-hosts talk with students about attending college and guide students to a venue on campus, where they will learn about research and careers in the biological sciences; you do not need to know about the science that is presented to the ninth-graders at the research venue…you can learn something new about biological research on campus along with the students!

If you are interested, please fill out this Google form to give your availability on April 8 and/or April 15.

Second-grade trip:
Volunteer to help Clarke County School District second-graders learn more about public health and the University of Georgia! Students will rotate through four engaging stations (physical activity, nutrition, germs and hand washing, and bullying prevention), and you can help them learn by serving as a station leader or a group guide!

9 a.m.–noon April 5-8, Stegeman Coliseum

There will be a BRIEF orientation prior to this trip. Please fill out this Google form if you are interested in signing up to assist with this field trip.
