Current funding opportunities at the Spencer Foundation

  • Small Research Grant Program: For support of smaller-scale or pilot education research projects with budgets up to $50,000. Upcoming proposal deadline: 4 p.m. CDT, May 2 (following deadline is Aug. 1).

    • Research-Practice Partnership Program: For support of established partnerships between education researchers and practitioners seeking to continue mutually beneficial research and partnership activities. Proposal deadline: 4 p.m. CDT, June 1.

    • Conference Grant Program: For support of conferences that will advance research in the areas of teaching and learning. Proposal deadline: 4 p.m. CDT, June 16.

    • Lyle Spencer Research Awards Program: For support of large-scale education research projects with budgets up to $1,000,000. Letter of intent deadline: 4 p.m. CDT, July 12.

    • Midcareer Grant Program: Aimed at supporting midcareer scholars interested in advancing their understanding of a compelling problem of education by aquiring new skills or knowledge. Updated program information and the September 2016 deadline will be posted in June.
