Hawkins receives Hutchins Award for defending academic integrity

Kinesiology professor Billy Hawkins is the recipient of the Robert Maynard Hutchins Award, the highest honor given each year by the Drake Group.

The award will be presented during a ceremony on Thursday, April 21 at the Downtown Marriott Hotel in Columbia, South Carolina. The award is given each year to faculty and staff members who take a courageous stand to defend academic integrity at their institutions, often risking job security in doing so.
