Georgia Department of Education's childhood literacy plan input session, May 26
The Georgia Department of Education invites faculty members to help shape its childhood literacy plan (birth through high school), and they’re coming to Athens to hear from you.
Please join Dr. Caitlin Dooley, deputy superintendent with the Georgia Department of Education, and Arianne Weldon, director of the Get Georgia Reading Campaign, on Thursday, May 26, from 2–4 p.m., in Room 125 of the Clarke County School District’s Early Learning Center, H. T. Edwards Building 2, 440 Dearing Extension in Athens, Georgia.
The purpose of this visit is to meet with a variety of education and community stakeholders about literacy outcomes and to discuss local needs and interests that will help guide further development of the Georgia Department of Education’s literacy plan.
