New procedures for handling faculty responsibilities during leave

Using the COE shared governance process outlined in our bylaws, the Faculty Senate, Leadership Council, and Dean have approved a set of procedures designed to facilitate planning and communication between faculty members taking leave and supervisors about how workload will be managed during the leave period to meet the leave needs of the faculty member, to promote equity in the leave process across the college, to ensure that university business continues uninterrupted, and to minimize impact on colleagues and students.

The document is attached and can be found on the intranet, along with other documents and policies related to taking leave. Questions can be directed to the Office of Faculty and Staff Services.
