In 1966, Foxfire began when a teacher and his students at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School conceived a new approach to teaching and learning. This year celebrates the 50th anniversary of that breakthrough moment and 30 years of the Foxfire for Teachers program. Now, you can reconnect with Foxfire at the Foxfire Education Conference** June 23-26** at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, where it all began.

The College of Education has been an important part of the Foxfire Education family, so UGA faculty and students can attend the conference at a reduced rate using the discount code UGAFF5030. Day rates are also available.

Conference speakers and session leaders include Carl Glickman, College of Education professor emeritus; George Thompson and George Wood. Jack Parish, associate dean for outreach and engagement, will discuss the possibilities for innovative teaching and learning approaches within the new federal education law, Every Student Succeeds Act.
