Final fall 2016 placement recommendation deadline is Aug. 19

**Friday, Aug. 19 **is the FINAL day to submit placement recommendations for the fall 2016 semester.

Placement recommendations submitted during this time frame (Phase II) will be processed as quickly as possible. Please submit your recommendations to the Office of Experiential Learning using the placement recommendation template; contact

for a copy. Allow a minimum turn-around time of three weeks for placement decisions.

  • Programs can submit Phase II placement recommendations before this final deadline.
  • Allow a minimum of three weeks processing time for placement requests. Take this turnaround time into consideration when building assignment due dates into your course syllabus. This process will be delayed if students do not have pre-service certificates (or pre-check background check for non-teacher education majors).
  • Any new recommendations submitted for Clarke County after March 11 will be submitted to this district during the weeks of Aug. 11-26. The earliest expected start date for these Phase II placements is Sept. 19.
  • The following counties are no longer accepting placement requests for the fall semester: Fulton, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Fayette, and City Schools of Decatur.
