Faculty are invited to attend Gary Henry’s keynote address on Friday, Sept. 30 at 9 a.m. at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center, Masters Hall.
Keynote Address: Can America’s Chronically Low Performing Schools be Turned Around
Gary Henry, the Patricia and H. Rodes Hart Chair and Professor of Public Policy and Education in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organization at Peabody College, Vanderbilt University, specializes in education policy, educational evaluation, teacher quality research, and quantitative research methods. Currently, much of Henry’s research has been on school turnaround, including the Achievement School District and iZone schools in Tennessee and school turnaround approaches in North Carolina. Henry will discuss some of the broader lessons learned from his school turnaround research.
Henry will be delivering the address as part of the State of Education in Georgia Conference.
