From the Dean: Transitions in the Office of Academic Programs

There will be a leadership transition in the Office of Academic Programs starting spring semester 2017. Laura Bierema, associate dean for academic programs, will return to the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy. Laura became associate dean in summer 2013 with the goal to restructure the office and create more effective relationships both within and outside of the College of Education. She has succeeded brilliantly in her efforts, with high points including the reorganization of the Office of Student Services and the College’s #3 national ranking for its online programs. Please join me in thanking Laura for all of her hard work and effort over the past several years.

Stacey Neuharth-Pritchett will begin as the associate dean for academic programs in January. Stacey has served admirably as the head of the Department of Educational Psychology. During her tenure as its head, the department has grown in productivity and national reputation. Her experience in preK-12 teacher education and accreditation make her ideally suited to continue the office’s upward trajectory. Please join me in congratulating Stacey on her new appointment and responsibilities.

Best regards,

Craig H. Kennedy, PhD
