Promotion and tenure workshops

During the fall semester, the Office of Faculty Affairs will offer its Promotion and Tenure Workshop at UGA Training and Development as follows:

• 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8,
• 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Oct. 18,
• 1-3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14,

Each workshop will provide tips for navigating the Guidelines for Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure, and will include an overview of important time points prior to and during the application process. Academic (tenure-track/tenured) and clinical rank faculty, promotion and tenure unit heads, and support staff who would like to better understand promotion and tenure procedures for these faculty ranks are encouraged to attend. Sarah Covert from the Office of Faculty Affairs will lead all three workshops.

To register, please visit the Training and Development site and click on “Register for a class.” You may log in using your UGA MyID and password. The classes are listed in alphabetical order. The Oct. 18 and Nov. 14 classes will not be available for registration until Oct. 3.
