Graduate student plans to deliver supplies to Haiti

Before Hurricane Matthew drenched the coastline of the U.S. Southeast, it took a devastating pass over Haiti. Elizabeth Louis, a doctoral student in the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services, has family members there and while she has been able to reach many, there are still some she has yet to be able to contact due to downed trees, power lines, and other infrastructures that have collapsed.

Louis is planning to bring hurricane relief supplies when she attends the Caribbean Regional Conference of Psychology from Nov. 7-11 in Port-au-Prince. If you would like to contribute to her effort, please

contact Louis for details

. She can also share names of trusted organizations working with hurricane victims for anyone who would like more information on how to help.
