RE: EOO Update

The UGA Equal Opportunity Office (EOO) is committed to creating a University community free of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex (including sexual harassment and pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or national origin, religion, age, genetic information, disability or veteran status. This charge is executed through the administration and enforcement of the Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment (NDAH) Policy and the Sexual Misconduct Policy.

These policies aim to create an inclusive campus learning environment by prohibiting actions and conduct that create a hostile, intimidating, or discriminatory environment, while respecting individual rights to freedom of expression and academic freedom. Prohibited actions and conduct include expressions of disrespect, hate, or hostility based on any of the legally protected categories and targeted at an individual or group. Such prohibited actions and conduct can take expression in various forms including, without limitation, actions, gestures, spoken or written language, and use or display of images or symbols.

All members of the University Community are encouraged—and persons in positions of authority are required—to report incidents of discrimination and harassment to EOO immediately. You can report to EOO in the following ways:

  • In person: 119 Holmes-Hunter Academic Building (right behind the Arch)
  • Online
  • Via email

  • Via phone: 706-542-7912
