Ghana Study Abroad in Education! Research Colloqium

This annual colloquium highlights the student capstone projects from the 2016 Ghana Study Abroad in Education! program. It will take place 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Aderhold Hall Room 112.

The presentations will provide new and important insights on the influences of African history, culture, and education on students’ perspectives through their study abroad experience. UGA students, faculty, and K-12 teachers from various fields, including teacher education, the nonprofit sector, history, critical studies, and counseling education, will share critical lessons about black history and culture on the “other side of the water” that have relevance to education here in the U.S.

We hope you will join us!
