Journal of Language and Literacy Education wins two SOAR Awards

The Journal of Language and Literacy Education, the online scholarly journal edited by doctoral students in the Department of Language and Literacy Education, won two awards at the annual Student Organization Achievement & Recognition (SOAR) Awards Event. The awards are for:

1. Most Innovative Program: Given to the student organization that understands the current needs of the UGA student body and positively advanced the UGA community through sponsoring the most innovative, creative, and groundbreaking project or program.
2. Outstanding Campus Event (Small): Given to the student organization that sponsored an event or program with attendance of 120 people or fewer. This organization showed exemplary skill in the development, promotion, and execution of the event.
