Football game day building security and parking instructions

As the first home football game of the 2017 season approaches, it is important to emphasize the necessity of keeping University facilities locked except in those instances where the building serves as public space. These facilities include the Tate Student Center, Zell B. Miller Learning Center, Joe Frank Harris Commons, and Bolton Dining Commons. All other campus facilities should remain secured.

College of Education facilities are to be considered off-limits on game days, except for legitimate work purposes, and any persons who uses the facility should ensure that the doors are locked and that no unauthorized personnel are allowed to enter. If you have problems with unauthorized persons attempting to enter the building while you are trying to enter for legitimate purposes, please contact the University Police at 542-2200.

Regarding parking, it is recommended that you move your vehicle to “open” parking lots, preferably in loading docks and in spaces marked for state vehicles. Please try to avoid parking along the curbs of these lots, to maximize available spaces to accommodate our fans and visitors. Signage will be in place to designate those lots controlled by the Athletic Association.
