From the Provost: Call for dean search committee nominations

I will soon be appointing a committee to conduct a national search for the next dean of the College of Education. To assist me in identifying faculty to serve on this committee, I welcome your input in recommending outstanding faculty and staff from the College of Education.

Please

direct your nomination(s) to Will Richardson

, assistant to the provost in the Office of the Provost, on or before Dec. 8.

I ask that you nominate faculty members and staff who meet the following criteria:

1. The nominee is willing to serve on the search committee, if appointed, and able to devote the necessary time to the search process.
2. The nominee does not consider himself/herself as a potential candidate for the dean’s position.

When forming the search committee, I will give due consideration to all nominations received. My goal is to have a representative, but appropriately sized, committee.
