Book's second edition helps make interdisciplinary connections

College of Education professor Melisa Cahnmann-Taylor has edited a new version of her book, “Arts-Based Research in Education."

Co-edited by Richard Siegesmund, the text presents definitions and examples of arts-based educational research, identifies models in the field, and provides guidance for all levels embarking on this work.

This book weaves together critical essays about arts-based research across several disciplines. Also, new to this edition is an additional focus on historical and theoretical foundations of arts-based educational research, chapters that focus on new genres such as acting, singing, or narration, and new theoretical frameworks that help make interdisciplinary connections.
