Engelhard publishes book on use of invariant measurement, Rasch measurement theory
George Engelhard, a professor in the quantitative methodology program in the Department of Educational Psychology, recently published a book with Stefanie Wind, an assistant profesor at the University of Alabama, titled, “Invariant measurement with raters and rating scales: Rasch models for rater-mediated assessment” (2018) New York: Routledge.
The book focuses on the use of invariant measurement and Rasch measurement theory to examine and evaluate the quality of ratings obtained from raters in a variety of contexts ranging from writing assessments to the evaluation of teacher performances.
