New grant: $1.9M in federal funding helps boost behavioral workforce

A four-year, $1.9 million grant from a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will give students completing counseling and psychology training a stipend during their internship year.

This grant, which will help train students to deliver counseling, health psychology, and integrated behavioral health services, is now available to students entering the UGA College of Education’s master’s programs in community counseling and school counseling, as well as the doctoral program in counseling psychology.
