Aralee Strange Lecture: Shirley Brice Heath on Feb. 22 and 23
Shirley Brice Heath, the Marjorie Bailey Professor of English and Dramatic Literature at Stanford University, will present two events open to students and faculty.
Brice Heath will be giving the inaugural Aralee Strange Lecture, part of an endowed program supporting youth arts and research in Athens shared by the Department of Language and Literacy Education and the Georgia Museum of Art.
The first event, “The Arts as Brick and Mortar of Community Building,” takes place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22 at the Georgia Museum of Art. The second, interactive event will be a seminar on arts-based research methods 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23 at the Georgia Museum of Art.
