Farewell and best wishes to Dean Kennedy

Today is Dean Craig H. Kennedy’s last day at the helm of the College of Education. During his time at UGA, Dean Kennedy:

• Hired more than 50 new faculty (25% of our current faculty)
• Created the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and appointed its first associate dean
• Increased research funding by 20%
• Increased annual giving by 250%
• Created the Board of Visitors and Alumni Board

In addition, the College of Education rose 10 places in national rankings. This is a tremendous record of accomplishment and growth for the College. We thank Dean Kennedy for his leadership of the College over the last five years and wish him well in his new role as provost at the University of Connecticut.
