Placement resources, timelines now available from Office of Experiential Learning

The following resources are available for those who manage field placements for students in their programs. Many of these resources are included in the eLC course, College of Education Field and Clinical Experiences.

  • Placement timelines for summer and fall 2018 are upon us: Please review this information and send your placement recommendations to the Office of Experiential Learning according to the deadlines for Phase I or Phase II. Students can expect to receive confirmations for Phase I placements between May 15 and June 15.

  • The Clarke County School District Office: The office has given the mentor teacher sign-up form to school principals and is now receiving mentoring applications for the fall 2018 semester. You may reach out to teachers and school principals at this time to discuss their interest in mentoring this fall. The mentor teacher enrollment process will close on April 20 for fall 2018.

  • Clarke County School Distric consideration list (optional): Send your consideration list to your field experience professional by Monday, March 19. Be sure your list includes the mentor teacher’s full name and school where he/she teaches.

  • Current list of Clinical Affiliation Agreements (MOUs): The Office of Experiential Learning initiates and maintains clinical agreements to support field-based learning for the College of Education.

  • Job-embedded placements: Placements are an option for graduate students now employed in a school setting. Review the guidelines and contact your field experience professional if you have questions.
