Smagorinsky named distinguished scholar

Peter Smagorinsky has been named a distinguished scholar by the National Conference on Research in Language and Literacy. He is among the first cohort to receive this honor, which is designed to recognize “deserving members of NCRLL whose work has made major contributions to language and literacy research.”

Smagorinsky is the Distinguished Research Professor of English Education in the Department of Language and Literacy Education.
