Submit your proposal to the GLIDE Program
The Interprofessional Education Leadership Committee, charged by the provost in early 2017, has been working for the past several months to develop goals and initiatives at UGA to enhance interprofessional opportunities and programs.
The Committee has recently launched the GLIDE Program, or Georgia’s Learning through Interprofessional Development Experience, for the 2018-2019 academic year.
What is the GLIDE Program? The GLIDE Program provides one-time funding to support a half-day or full-day substantive interprofessional development experience wherein academic programs representing three or more professions bring faculty and students together to learn about each other and how to work effectively in interprofessional teams in preparation for entry into the workplace as members of a collaborative team.
If awarded, the GLIDE Program will provide up to $6,000 (or up to 50 percent of the total cost) to support an experience. For academic year 2018-19, up to three GLIDE Program proposals will be funded. There is no specific deadline for proposal receipt. Proposals will be considered and evaluated as received. However, if funded, an experience must be completed by the end of the 2018-19 academic year.
