Progress of BFSO over the years

For more than 30 years, BFSO has been involved in conceptualizing and implementing programs and services focused on equity and diversity at the University of Georgia. BFSO’s advocacy and activism played a pivotal role in the creation and growth of the Department of Minority Services and Programs, Institute for African American Studies, African American Cultural Center, Office of Institutional Diversity, Presidential Minority Advisory Committee, and several university-wide initiatives focused on the recruitment and retention of African American faculty, staff, and students. Please continue to lend your support to BFSO by providing sponsorship for the Founders Scholarship Luncheon and by recommending exemplar students for scholarship opportunities at the University of Georgia.
