Chatterpups class for parents and toddlers at the UGA Speech & Hearing Clinic

Are you interested in boosting your toddler’s communication and pre-literacy skills? Are you concerned that your toddler may be a little behind in communication development? If so, join Chatterpups, a five-week class for toddlers and parents at the UGA Speech & Hearing Clinic. Each Chatterpups session emphasizes play-based, hands-on application of evidence-based strategies to enrich early communication and pre-literacy skills for toddlers who are 18 months to 3 years. Sessions will be led by graduate student clinicians in communication sciences and disorders, who will be under the direct supervision of a state-licensed, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist.

Each parent will attend with his or her toddler and enjoy:

  • A fun, creative, interactive atmosphere
  • A language-rich environment
  • A play-based, naturalistic format for building communication and pre-literacy skills

Parents can choose between two classes; the same information will be shared in each class.

  • Class 1 takes place 9:30-11 a.m. Thursdays, Sept. 6-Oct. 4
  • Class 2 takes place 9:30-11 a.m. Thursdays, Oct. 11-Nov. 8

Each class has a $150 class fee that includes all five sessions (not eligible for health insurance reimbursement).

Space is very limited, so if you’d like to join a group,
