College of Education welcome reception for international students
With the start of the fall 2018 semester, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will kick off its supporting international students initiative with a welcome reception 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, in Aderhold Hall Room 201.
This inaugural College of Education International Student Welcome Reception is open to all new and returning undergraduate and graduate students of the College. This reception the will provide international students the unique chance to meet and connect with fellow international and domestic students, faculty, and staff in a relaxed atmosphere.
Enjoy delicious snacks and refreshments while engaging in fun activities and insightful conversations about relevant topics pertaining to your shared experience abroad and away from home that will be central to future monthly meetings. Following brief welcoming remarks from faculty members and representatives of resourceful student organizations, the attendees will have the opportunity to visit information tables from student organizations, including the International Students Advisory Board (ISAB), UGA Multicultural Affairs, and the Office of International Education.
