Spring 2019 placement timeline

It’s time to start thinking about placements for the spring 2019 semester! Here are some reminders to assist with your program’s upcoming placement needs.

Upcoming dates for spring semester 2019 placements (review the spring 2019 placement timeline for full details):

  • Oct. 1: Faculty submit Clarke County School District mentor teacher consideration lists to OEL.
  • Oct. 1: Deadline to submit placement recommendations for DeKalb County. OEL submits requests to district by Oct. 9.
  • Oct. 8: Deadline to submit placement recommendations for Cherokee County. OEL submits requests to district by Oct. 15.
  • Oct. 15: Deadline to submit placement recommendations for Fayette and Fulton Counties. OEL submits requests by Oct. 22.
  • Oct. 22: Deadline to submit Phase 1 placement recommendations (All but Clarke, Cherokee, DeKalb, Fayette and Fulton).
  • Nov. 16: Deadline to submit Phase 1 placement recommendations for Clarke County Schools.

Pre-Service Certificate deadline for spring 2019 placements: Students must have their Pre-Service Certificates issued by the first day of the spring semester, Wednesday, January 9, 2019, to receive a placement for the semester.
