Seeking middle school tutors for college prep class
Clarke Middle School (CMS) is seeking UGA students to serve as AVID tutors. AVID is a college prep class for students who have high potential and need extra support. Tutors work with small groups of motivated students in tutorials to help them solve challenges they have with their schoolwork. Tutors will be trained and do not need specific content knowledge.
If you are an instructor of a course that requires interaction with young adolescents in spring 2019, please consider sharing this opportunity with your students or coordinating your class to come to CMS for AVID tutoring. UGA students who tutor on their own (not part of a course requirement) will be paid.
Please see the attached flier for more information.
