2019 Global Educational Forum to celebrate women in leadership, sport

Achievements and Challenges: Women in Leadership, Sport, and Development in Global Context

The Global Educational Forum returns this spring on March 21, 2019, for its 12th year to honor and celebrate women’s accomplishments and milestones amid persistent challenges in leadership, sport, and development in a global context.

Invited scholars will address persistent challenges that women face in their pursuit of equality to propose opportunities for inclusive communities not only for women and girls in their places of residence, whether local or global, but also for others seeking redemption due to unwelcomed life experiences in work and society.

Goals of the forum include:

• Provide current interdisciplinary research on women’s achievements in positions of leadership in a variety of environments, while embracing the fields of international affairs, sociology, sport, human development, and other areas in social sciences
• Educate and raise awareness about persistent challenges women face in their pursuit for equity and justice in local and global environments within the realm of sport and society
