Applications for Active Learning Summer Institute due Feb. 1

Funds for the 2019 Active Learning Summer Institute have been designated by President Morehead to help full-time faculty members (tenure track or non-tenure track) teaching in the 2018-2019 academic year incorporate active learning strategies into their courses.

Hosted by the Center for Teaching and Learning, the institute is divided into two three-week programs for 12 faculty members (24 total) in either Maymester or Short Session I to help redesign courses and implement evidence-based instructional strategies that engage students in the learning process. Workshops and extensive support in designing or redesigning a course around active learning principles and practices are included.

Faculty selected for the institute will receive $7,500. Applications are due Friday, Feb. 1. Visit the Active Learning website for more information and the application.
