FY20 Junior Faculty Seed Grants in STEM deadline

The UGA Office of Research is announcing the start of the FY20 cycle for the Junior Faculty Seed Grants in STEM. These grants are designed to support and encourage strong research and scholarship by early career, tenure-track faculty in the sciences and engineering. Grants are intended to fund pilot research that can be used to leverage extramural research grant opportunities.

This program reviews and awards applications in three broad categories:

  1. Life sciences
  2. Physical, computational, and engineering
  3. Social and behavioral sciences

The guidelines for the program can be found on the UGA Office of Research’s webpage. Answers to frequently asked questions, award conditions, and other information are on the JFSG FAQs page.

The deadline for proposal submission is Feb. 15.

Note that an earlier eligibility pre-certification deadline applies for applicants who have existing extramural funding at the time of application. Details can be found in the guidelines.

Successful grants will start July 1 for FY20.
