Interdisciplinary Qualitative Studies 2019 Speaker Series

Join us for the inaugural Interdisciplinary Qualitative Studies 2019 Speaker Series. All talks will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. at River’s Crossing (850 College Station Road). The event and parking are free and open to the public.

On Wednesday, Jan. 16, Joe Tobin, Elizabeth Garrard Hall Professor of Early Childhood Education in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice, will present the paper “Morita and Kaizuka in 2002 and 2015: A Diachronic Video Microanalysis of Two Japanese Preschool Teachers.”

  • Feb. 20: Mary Caplan, assistant professor in the UGA School of Social Work, presents “Social media and qualitative inquiry: A field-tested example using Reddit”
  • March 20: Darris Means, assistant professor of college student affairs administration in the Department of Counseling and Human Development
    April 17: Melissa Freeman, professor in the qualitative research program in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy
