Feedback for 2020-2025 UGA strategic plan
The University of Georgia aspires to expand its positive impact on lives and communities throughout the state of Georgia, across the nation, and around the world.
To continue moving the University toward this aspiration, President Morehead has charged a Strategic Planning Committee comprised of deans, faculty, staff, students, and alumni to develop a five-year strategic plan ranging from 2020 to 2025. The committee will develop three to five goals in each of three mission-centered strategic directions:
- Promoting excellence in teaching and learning
- Growing research, innovation, and entrepreneurship
- Strengthening partnerships with communities across Georgia and around the world
The committee will seek to develop goals that are clear and measureable, achievable over the five-year period, and overarching to encompass UGA’s major academic and administrative units. The goals developed by the committee will also reflect a set of guiding principles established by President Morehead to describe the type of organization the University strives to be in pursuit of its aspiration:
- Mission-centered
- Dedicated to continuous quality improvement
- Committed to supporting faculty, staff, students, and alumni
- Diverse, inclusive, and welcoming to all
- Innovative and ambitious
- Flexible and responsive
- Fiscally responsible and efficient
