Aralee Strange Lecture: Maisha Winn on restorative justice for youth of color

Please join us as Maisha Winn, Chancellor’s Leadership Professor in the School of Education at the University of California, Davis, gives the second annual Aralee Strange Lecture at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Georgia Museum of Art. Winn’s talk, “I don’t want us to forget the fire: Literacy, Activism, and Black Literate Lives Overview,” will highlight her research journey and will focus particularly on her work in restorative justice for youth of color.

The event is co-sponsored by the Georgia Museum of Art, the Department of Language and Literacy Education, the Willson Center for Humanities and Art, and the offices of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Research and Graduate Education in the College of Education.
