College remembers life of early childhood education student
Natalie Ann Staffieri, a third-year student studying early childhood education in the University of Georgia College of Education, died on March 1. She was 21.
Born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Staffieri enjoyed working with children, listening to music, and spending time with friends. She volunteered with the UGA Impact program, the Knights of Columbus, and also tutored young children. While at UGA, Staffieri received the Presidential Honor three times—all while battling cancer.
She is survived by her parents, Michael and Sandra; brothers, Nicolas and Anthony; sisters, Andrea and Danielle; grandparents, Raymond, Patricia, and Keith; and a number of extended relatives.
A funeral mass to celebrate Staffieri’s life will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lilburn, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, and a vigil will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sara’s Cure or CHOA-AFLAC.
