DEI in action: Ways to counter Islamophobia and hate
It was shocking to read and see news coverage about the anti-Muslim murders at ChristChurch in New Zealand. When Islamophobia rears its head, it can be overwhelming—for both the communities affected by the expressed hate and the allies who advocate for these communities—to move through the world.
Because the College of Education is a microcosm of the larger world, there are a few things you can do right now (listed below) to support faculty, staff, and students in the College of Education community and beyond who have experienced Islamophobia. We invite you to reach out to the
College’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
for more resources and support on education, consultation, and advocacy countering Islamophobia.
