Media mention: Love discusses latest book on WABE
Bettina Love, an associate professor in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice, recently joined “Closer Look with Rose Scott,” a news show on WABE, to discuss her latest book, “We Want To Do More Than Survive.”
Drawing on her experience as an elementary school educator and academic, the award-winning author addresses educational justice and her vision for a reformed educational system.
Love will also discuss her book with Cynthia B. Dillard, the Mary Frances Early Professor of Teacher Education, at a free event next month in Athens. The event will take place 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, at Avid Bookshop’s Prince Avenue location.
