New book helps redefine teacher education

A new e-book by professor Andrew Gitlin takes readers on a journey to help define teacher education for our changing world—and also invites contributions to further the conversation.

“Reinventing Teacher Education,” which is now available from Kendall Hunt Publishing Company, views global changes as a sign that schooling, and therefore teacher education, must further challenges for our times. Without a radical reinvention of teacher education, Gitlin states, schools will not have the teachers, the heart of any reform effort, to drive the change.

The book comes with a free platform on divvy.live and invites readers to rewrite, write over or extend the journey with their own ideas. For more details, please visit the publisher’s website).
