“Legal Currency for Students with Disabilities under the IDEA and Section 504/ADA”
Perry Zirkel, university professor emeritus of education and law at Lehigh University, will highlight a dozen key current issues under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and an overlapping pair of federal civil rights laws—Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, with the relevant connections to corollary state laws and the Every Student Succeeds Act. Although fast-paced and information-loaded, this presentation will include a Q&A. Refreshments will be provided.
