Invitation to apply to the UGA Staff Networking Program

The UGA Staff Council is excited to invite you to participate in the UGA Staff Networking Program, a free program that connects groups of staff members across disciplines and divisions for six months of personal enrichment and professional growth opportunities. This initiative of the Staff Council is supported by the Office of the President and Human Resources’ Training and Development Department and is administered by a volunteer program committee.

Participants are matched together in groups of five based on diversity in disciplines or divisions and meet at least once a month to connect and learn from one another. Groups will be provided with meeting guides and suggested activities. Participants are responsible for organizing when and where their group meets and facilitating their own group meetings.

The first official group meeting will be at the program orientation and networking event on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m. The optional mid-point networking event will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. If you are unable to attend the orientation, this could affect your eligibility to participate in the program.

Complete the program application by Thursday, Aug. 15.

The program committee will notify participants of their assigned networking groups on Friday, Aug. 30.
