Provost's Seminar Series call for nominations
Nominations are now open for the Provost’s Seminar Series, which seeks to enrich the campus community by bringing leading researchers and scholars in the arts, sciences, engineering, and medicine to the University of Georgia to share their ideas.
To be eligible for consideration, a nominee must be a member of one of the following academies:
- American Academy of Arts and Sciences
- National Academy of Sciences
- National Academy of Engineering
- National Academy of Medicine
Nominations for the Provost’s Seminar Series should be submitted online.
Nominations will be considered on a rolling basis, and up to two speakers will be invited each fall and spring semester. The Provost’s Office will cover travel expenses and a nominal honorarium for the speakers.
The nominators and their respective unit head or dean are expected to serve as hosts for their selected speaker. Talks given through the Provost’s Seminar Series are also eligible for designation as a Signature Lecture.
