Kudos: Evans and Schmidt receive interdisciplinary seed grants from UGA
Ellen Evans, associate dean for research and graduate education, and Michael Schmidt, associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology, received interdisciplinary seed grants from UGA. The grants will facilitate research projects spanning 15 colleges, schools, and other units at the University.
Evans’ team will study how to create a healthier Georgia through diabetes prevention, while Schmidt’s team will focus on how schools and surrounding environments impact the implementation of Georgia’s statewide childhood obesity policy.
