SRG4U: Staff Representative Group highlights and information

Welcome to the first SRG4U announcement! Your College of Education Staff Representative Group (SRG) met Thursday, Sept. 19. To learn more about SRG and for contact information, please visit the SRG webpage. Here are a few takeaways from the most recent meeting.

When visiting the webpage, one may notice that there is updating to be done. SRG will be working on updates over the next several weeks, but this is the landing spot for all things SRG. Each month, SRG will send out monthly highlights and announcements via COEfyi, and of course, items of interest such as Lunch and Learns and social events will be distributed as well.

Of note this month is staff professional development funding. In the past, College staff members have participated in the High Impact Leadership program offered by Training and Development or the annual Administrative Professional Day Conference. However, those are not the only two items for which funds can be used. The College of Education has allocated funds to provide support for staff to attend various staff professional development opportunities. Requesting funds is simple and the process is painless. Be sure to visit the staff professional development funding webpage for more information.

SRG looks forward to sharing more as the year progresses. If you are interested in knowing more about what SRG is doing, be sure to talk to your department representative or reach out to SRG chair Melanie Peiper.
